New Home Construction

Footings and foundations are to homes what feet and legs are to the human body: footings anchor the home to the ground and support the foundation, which in turn carries the weight of the home. Get either of these wrong and everything above suffers.

At ProWork LLC, we treat the foundation phase with the seriousness it deserves. Our team handles everything from soil prep and footing layout through pouring, curing, and waterproofing. Every step gets inspected before the next begins.

Foundation Types We Build

Although foundations have been made from a number of materials — stone, block and even treated wood — reinforced concrete is used in the vast majority of new homes. The contractor erects wooden forms, installs steel reinforcing bars ("rebar") between the form faces, then fills the forms with poured concrete. After the concrete sets, the forms are removed.

Slab-on-Grade

The slab-on-grade foundation is just what it sounds like: a concrete slab poured at grade level that serves as the subfloor for the home's main living area. A shallow footing around the edges of the slab transfers the weight of the home's walls to the ground.

Crawl Space & Basement

For homes in regions with frost concerns or where storage and utility access matter, we build crawl space and full basement foundations. Each is designed for the specific lot, soil conditions, and home plan — never copy-pasted from the last project.

Framing & Finishing

Once the foundation cures, we move into rough framing — walls, floors, roof structure. Then sheathing, weather barrier, windows and doors. By the time we wrap up dry-in, your home looks like a home. From there it's mechanical rough-ins, insulation, drywall, and all the finish trades that turn a structure into a place you actually live.
